General Shipping Information
For the well-being of your wine, we only ground ship during specific windows where temperatures are reasonable from start to finish of your wine’s journey. We manage this in a unique way by creating personalized shipping “zones”. Outside of the ground shipping windows, we recommend Next Day Air or 2-Day Air. See below for all the details.
Shipping Policies
All shipments containing alcohol must be signed for. If possible, we highly recommend shipping to an office where someone is present throughout the day.
It is illegal to ship to a P.O. box.
If a shipment is returned to sender, additional costs may apply to reship the wine. Please ensure your shipping information is accurate and that someone will be available to sign for your wine.
Licensed Shipping States
Unfortunately, it is not feasible for us to have licenses in all states. We are currently unable to ship to the following: AK, AR, MS, NE, NJ, RI, UT, VT, or WV. (And DE for offsite orders—see Special States below)
Please note we are not licensed to ship to all states visible on the map. We CAN ship to the following states:
Zone 1: CA, OR, WA
Zone 2: CO, CT, DC, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NH, ND, NY, OH, PA, SD, VA, WI, WY
Zone 3: AZ, NC, NM, NV, OK, SC, TN
Zone 4: AL, GA, FL, LA, TX
Zone 5: HI (Licensed for Hawaii county & Honolulu county. Maui county pending. No ground shipping to zone 5)
SPECIAL STATES
ALABAMA: All orders must be shipped to an ABC liquor retail store. This is where you will collect your wine and pay state taxes. Please download the ABC Liquor Store List linked below to find a store near you. Once you know what store you would like your wine shipped to, please email Caston (caston@palomavineyard.com). We must complete an authorization form prior to your wine shipping.
DELAWARE: Customers can only ship to themselves when making an ONSITE purchase. They cannot purchase online and ship to the state of Delaware.
KENTUCKY: Kentucky has created an additional tax associated with out-of-state alcohol purchases of 10% applied to 70% of the retail cost of the purchase. Unfortunately, this is a cost that we will have to pass on to the customer. You will see an additional tax applied to your bill at checkout. Additionally, Kentucky still has “dry zones”, therefore we are required to have our Kentucky customers sign an affidavit confirming that they do not reside in a “dry zone” before shipping any wine. Thank you kindly for your understanding.
GROUND SHIPMENTS
Ground Shipping Windows
To protect your wine, we only ship by ground during the moderate temperature time frames. Shipments for each zone will only go out during the follow designated window below for each zone.
Zone 1: September 30, 2024 to May 19, 2025 AND September 29, 2025 to May 18, 2025
Zone 2: March 10 to May 19, 2025 AND September 29 to December 5, 2025
Zone 3: October 27, 2025 to April 13, 2026
Zone 4: November 17, 2025 to March 23, 2026
Zone 5: Ground shipping is not available. 2-day Air is available year-round.
Ground Shipping Options
750ML BOTTLES
1-5 bottles: priced at checkout depending on the quantity of wine and shipping address
6-11 bottles: $40 flat rate ($30 for California residents)
12 bottles or more: $30 flat rate ($20 for California residents)
Additional shipping & product discounts are available to Collectors Club members.
Ground Shipping for Large Formats & Verticals
Shipping for these items is separate from other purchases and subject to the following costs:
Spend up to $225: shipping cost is $25
Spend from $225 to $475: shipping cost is $35
Spend over $475: shipping cost is $45
Next-Day or 2-DAY AIR
For the well-being of your wine, we recommend Next Day Air or 2-Day Air whenever possible; it is available year-round. Next Day Air is heavily discounted by UPS from May-September.
1-5 bottles: priced at checkout depending on the quantity of wine and shipping address.
6-11 bottles: $20 discount built into shipping price.
12 bottles or more: $50 discount built into shipping price.
Taxes
Taxes are charged based on the state where you will receive your wine.
