General Manager at Paloma Vineyard
Caston Richards
I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Calgary (2019) and hold a Machinist Technician diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (2018). I have experience working in the service industry while volunteering at the MakerMultiplex within the Schulich School of Engineering, where I supported engineering students with hands-on projects and remained actively involved in the academic community. I am currently seeking opportunities within the technology sector and am open to a variety of roles that allow me to apply and expand my technical skills.
During my time at the University of Calgary, I was actively involved in several extracurricular initiatives, including the Schulich SAE Formula Racing Team, the Maker Space program, and the UCalgary Mentor Link program, where I mentored first-year engineering students. I also completed an intensive five-week study abroad program in Shantou, China, collaborating with local engineering students on multiple design and development projects. For my fourth-year Capstone project, my team successfully designed and built a fully functional self-levelling three-wheel off-road electric bike prototype.
Outside of my professional and academic pursuits, I enjoy continuously learning new skills and working on creative, hands-on projects. I have a passion for outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, and cycling, and I enjoy travelling and exploring new cultures. I am an enthusiastic, driven, and adaptable individual who enjoys tackling new challenges and is eager to contribute to innovative projects.
I would be delighted to connect and discuss potential opportunities or collaborations.
